Job Title: Front of House & Kitchen Team Member
Permanent Contract – Flexible Hours & Days

About Us

The Long Table is a Pay-As-You-Can restaurant and community space, creating access to good food, culture and connection for all. We produce delicious meals using the best local produce, host inspiring events, and run creative programmes, all with the aim of building a place where everyone feels welcome.

The Role

We’re looking for friendly, adaptable and hands-on people to join our small, passionate team across both front of house and kitchen support roles.

This is a varied role that could include:

  • Supporting in the kitchen with pot wash, prep and service

  • Baking cakes and preparing café items

  • Serving meals and helping create smooth, welcoming service

  • Making barista-quality drinks

  • Running the till and welcoming guests

  • Helping maintain high standards of cleanliness across the restaurant and kitchen

We’re mainly looking for reliable people who enjoy working with others and want to be part of a community-focused organisation.

Availability

We’re looking to cover shifts across Monday–Saturday, across a mixture of front of house and kitchen assistant/kitchen porter responsibilities. Exact hours and working patterns can be discussed and we’re happy to be flexible for the right candidates.

We’re open to shaping the role around the right people. Hours and responsibilities can be flexible, and we’d also be happy to explore splitting the role across two team members.

About You

You might be:

  • Friendly, reliable and adaptable

  • Comfortable working in a busy environment

  • Confident engaging with customers and working as part of a team

  • Happy to take on a variety of tasks

  • Barista trained (helpful but not essential)

  • Interested in food, hospitality and community

Experience is of course beneficial but not essential - attitude, enthusiasm and willingness to learn matter most.

Contract Terms

  • Permanent part-time role(s)

  • £12.71 per hour

  • Opportunities for training and development

  • Based at The Long Table, Brimscombe Mill, Stroud

  • Start date: ASAP
